This contains a list of anagrams which when unscrambled will reveal 25 names or phrases associated with Christmas, a solution sheet is included. I hope this will be of some use during the lead-up to Christmas.

For these puzzles I have again used words on the latest list from the National Curriculum 2014 for years 3-4. There are 5 Criss-cross puzzles, all with a list of at least 20 words which need to be fitted into a grid, the aim being that pupils will not only become familiar with the new words but they will also be required to use a degree of logic to complete the puzzles. . I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.

I have created seven Word-search sheets using the Year 3&4 word list as shown in the new National Curriculum. There is a printable sheet for the pupils and a solution sheet highlighting the fourteen words in each puzzle for the teacher. To make the words easier to locate I have highlighted the first letter of each word in yellow. I have now added a PDF version.

Like the earlier Word-search file these crosswords have been created to include words on the latest list from the National Curriculum 2014 for years 3-4. There are 10 crosswords with solution sheets for the teacher’s use. I have included the words used in the crossword, in a separate box below the clues. Please delete these if you do not feel this extra information is necessary. I have now also included a PDF version.
